About Us
Gramya History
We began our journey on July 23, 2016, with the aim specified in Objectives. We were registered under Article 64 Trust in New Delhi. We primarily focus on the need of empowering the youths and women of rural India for a better future for them as well as our country. Our vision is to create a society where children are facilitated to have their right to education, women get the riddance from discrimination, health is considered as important as food, and the environment is not overlooked in the pursuit of modernization.
Objectives
Social
a. To work for the betterment of women, children, senior citizens, and the disabled and to fight against social wrongs like discrimination and harassment based on gender, etc. with a vision of social justice.
b. To eliminate child labor, child trafficking, and child abuse and focus on the education and resettlement of these deprived children.
Education Research and Training
a. To promote education, especially girl and S.C, OBC, and ST Student education.
b. To conduct educational, environmental, and sociological studies.
c. To organize lectures, seminars, and workshops to help or strengthen the character-building
d. To remove illiteracy and to spread Adult Education for the age group: 15-35 years.
Health
a. To create awareness against the drug menace, mobile vans, hospitals, dispensaries, etc.
b. To encourage organ donation.
Environment
a. To create awareness about forestation.
b. To create awareness about disaster management.
Functions
1. Women Empowerment Centres (eg) Stitching & Griha-Udyog centers in villages.
2. Skill Training Centres (eg) vocational skills, cultural skills.
3. Smart Academy for teenagers (eg) free coaching & scholarships for IIT JEE, NEET, SSC, etc.
4. Free Food Distribution in Emergencies and Disaster prone areas (eg) pandemic relief.
5. To organize training and refresher programs for the volunteers and officials of different NonGovernmet Organizations to strengthen the development skills of trainees through IEC (information, education, and communication) which they can use in the development sector.
Achievement
1. 30K+ free meals distributed during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
2. 5k+ sanitization kits distributed in nearby slums during the COVID-19 pandemic.
3. 200+ youths attended with vocational skill training
4. 60+ village women were given training in Stitching and Griha-Udyog skills.
5. 5 poor students were provided free JEE Preparation Coaching.
